Venturing into icons caused frustration

I got introduced to icon contests and wanted to join in. My method of creation caused many problems and limitations. I could create 100x100 icons in PowerPoint or Keynote, no problem, but when it came time to crop them to size, iPhoto just wasn't cutting the mustard. I'd get 101x101, 98x98, 99x100. I was beginning to get pretty frustrated. Still, here are some of my first entries for sttos_stills and trekicontest. Number 17 did actually win a Mod's Choice award.
